New Perspectives on the Digital Transformation of Manufacturing
Albrecht Fritzsche and Sascha Julian Oks contributed with three research papers to this year’s joint CIRP CMS and SPS conference in Stockholm, Sweden. They discussed comprehensive strategies for implementing cyber-physical systems, transparency in multi-objective decision making, and order management in agile, individualised production environments. Their engagement with industrial engineers at the conference strengthened our cross-disciplinary ties in research on the digital transformation and spread the chair’s work on innovation and value creation to new audiences. Furthermore, Fritzsche and Oks were able to meet old friends and make many new ones, opening up new horizons for future projects.
