The winners of the STARTIFY7 2016 academies have been announced, and our student assistant is one of them!
Our student assistant Barbara Ehbauer and her team SquareAid are winners of the STARTIYF7 academy on IT-driven social entreprenership that has been organised by Twente University in the Netherlands. Out of over 1000 applicants they have been selected to attend the two-week academy and competed againt twelve other ambitious teams. Their winning concept consists of a comprehensive management system for retirement homes that focuses on the wellbeing of the elderly. It combines the best products on the market in one single platform, from smart medication boxes to smart wristbands, to track medication, sleep, stress level and other important data related to the elderly. The platform provides real-time data for caregivers, for the pensionaries and their relatives who can monitor the health status and wellbeing of their beloved. The platform also spares the retirement homes’ staff a lot of time and effort so that they can focus on providing support to the elderly that can’t be replaced by any technology. All the best for the team as they will attend the acceleration bootcamp in Brussels and pitch to investors!
