Matthias Raß, Dipl.-Kfm.
Dipl.-Kfm. Matthias Raß, Dipl.-Kfm.
Matthias graduated from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with a Master of Science in business administration (Dipl.-Kfm.). His majors were information systems, strategic management, and health care management. During his studies, he worked as a student research assistant at the department of information systems. For his diploma thesis on the determinants of innovation team performance, he received the Hermann Weiler Foundation best thesis award. He gained practical experience with firms like Horváth & Partners Management Consultants, BayTech, Noris Markt AG, and others. Matthias has been working on innovation projects in different fields, such as the automotive industry, the health care industry, and the service sector. In his work, he addresses socio-scientific questions from the field of management science as well as technological aspects. At our institute, he is or was responsible for several major research and development projects, especially knowledge@all, VeSiKi, CoDi, EIT Health Innovation Leadership & Business Management, EiVE, OIG, ZAD, CoCo, OI@AUDI, and MOSES. His current research focuses on open innovation, social networks, and social capital. Matthias has been teaching master’s and bachelor’s level courses in strategic management, innovation management, and international negotiation. Furthermore, he is a reviewer for academic journals, such as Creativity and Innovation Management, R&D Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and the International Journal of Technology Management, as well as for academic conferences, such as the European Academy of Management Annual Conference, the International Conference on Information Systems, and the European Conference on Information Systems.
